Hans Theo Richter Prize

The Hans Theo Richter Prize is awarded by the Saxon Academy of Arts for significant achievements in the visual arts, especially in drawing and graphic arts, and carries prize money of €20,000. It is funded by the Hildegard and Hans Theo Richter Foundation.

The Hans Theo Richter Prize has been presented since 1998. In 2017, it was awarded to Marlene Dumas, an artist working in Amsterdam.

Semper Prize

This award is presented to architects based in Germany whose work is characterized by the highest artistic standards, the environmentally sustainable use of natural resources, and an outstandingly innovative approach.

The Semper Prize has been presented since 2007. In 2019, it was won by Christoph Ingenhoven, an architect from Düsseldorf.
